Welcome to the Revolution and the next generation of warehousing & distribution!
This weekly podcast hosted by Kevin Lawton typically runs from 15 to 45 minutes, with most about a half-hour long. There are over 250 episodes going back to June of 2019. We favor the strong focus on warehouse management.
This goes all the way back to October 8th, 2016 and the podcast is exactly what the title says – helping people get started in the industry, explaining warehouse ops, and interviewing industry leaders. Host Marty T. Hawkins began as a forklift operator and worked his way up through the industry. He started this weekly conversation with a goal to help people move into and up in the warehousing industry. With the current labor shortage, it’s nice to have someone helping good people find their way to the warehouse industry.
There are only 18 episodes from 2020 to now, but the once-every-couple-of-months podcast delivers thought leadership from MIT’s Center for Transportation and Logistics and industry leaders like Moderna’s SVP of Global Supply Chain. The episodes each time out around 30 minutes and don’t feel overly academic while delivering high-level insights and best practices.
Like the MIT offering, access to the minds of Gartner analysts is the main draw with this pod. Updated twice monthly, each episode clocks in at a breezy 20 minutes or so and there are currently only 14 episodes, so it’s an easy binge to catch up.
